Bill of Rights
All participants, staff, and parents affiliated with the Cleveland Heights Tigers Youth Football Association are protected by a Bill of Rights. These rights are granted to all members of our association to ensure fair and decent treatment, and to establish accountability in the event of inequity.
Participant Bill of Rights
1. All participants reserve the right to receive fair and decent treatment from coaches, staff members, and all volunteers.

2. All participants reserve the right to participate in a safe, clean, and structured environment for the duration of their affiliation with the Tigers organization.

3. Upon receipt of registration fees, all participants reserve the right to receive clean, safe, properly fitting, and serviceable equipment and uniforms in a timely fashion.

4. All participants will reserve unhindered access to restrooms, water, or medical treatment when requested or required.

5. All participants reserve the right to withdraw from our program. Participants cannot be forced to participate, even by parents. If a participant notifies a coach or a staff member that they no longer wish to, or was forced to participate, we are obligated by league By-laws to drop them from the program. In the event that such a request is made, both parent and child will have a period of 48 hours to rescind their request. After this 24 hour grace period, the participant will be officially dropped from the program.

6. All participants reserve the right to receive the required minimum amount of playing time, as specified by Northcoast Youth Football Conference.

7. All participants reserve the right to be informed of all team, Association and league rules and regulations.

8. All participants reserve the right to appeal suspensions of expulsions with the DOC.

Parent Bill of Rights
1. All parents/guardians reserve the right to receive fair and decent treatment and service from all members of our staff.

2. All parents/guardians reserve the right to receive receipts for all financial transactions.

3. All parents/guardians reserve the right to withdraw their child from our organization at any time. (Note: refunds will not be given)

4. All parents/guardians reserve the right to be informed of all team, Association, and league rules and policies. Parents have the right to view (on site) the Association By-laws and or the league rule book. These items cannot be taken home, and copies will not be made available.

5. All parents/guardians reserve the right to refuse publication or distribution of their contact information for team purposes (such as publicized parent contact lists, etc). Parents also have the right to decline the use of their children’s image, voice, and/ or name in all publication media (print, video, audio, and/or internet).

6. All parents/guardians reserve the right to be notified of any disciplinary actions taken against their children. Parents/guardians also reserve the right to appeal any disciplinary actions against themselves or their children with the Family Liaison or Director of Coaching respectively.

7. All parents reserve the right to have all submitted certification documents returned or destroyed upon the conclusion of the season.

8. All parents/guardians reserve the right to receive all practice and game information, such as location, days, and times. Parents/guardians also reserve the right to be promptly informed of any changes in practice or game schedules.

9. All parents/guardians reserve the right to be informed of any change in team, Association, or league rules or policies.

10. All parents/guardians reserve the right to refuse to receive phone or email communications from the Association at any time.

11. All parents/guardians reserve the right to receive their head coach’s contact information.

12. Parents/guardians reserve the right to view staff training and compliance documents such as criminal background check affidavids (not the actual files), coaching training certificates and CPR certification documents.

Staff Bill of Rights
1. All staff members reserve the right to fair and decent treatment from participants, parents, and guests.

2. All staff members reserve the right to be given the time, resources, and cooperation needed to serve the children in our program.

3. All staff members reserve the right to appeal any disciplinary actions taken against them by the Association.

4. All staff members reserve the right to set limits on the times that parents may contact them.

5. All coaches reserve the right to conduct practices or games without interference from parents, guests, or other coaches.

6. All coaches reserve the right to have access to all necessary equipment and resources to ensure safe and efficient practices and games.
